Bill includes formation of conflict settlement committee

The Jeju Provincial government is planning to manage public conflicts more systematically.

The government is pushing for the enactment of a bill titled the Jeju Island Ordinance on the Prevention and Resolution of Public Conflicts.

The main contents stipulate the Governor's responsibility for resolving public conflicts and include that conflict impact analysis should be conducted on public policies where conflict is expected.

In particular, the category of public policy includes public institutions established by Jeju Island, investment and invested institution policies, as well as national state-run projects that require Jeju Island's licensing and approval.

It also includes the formation of a conflict settlement council operated on a case-by-case basis if necessary to manage and coordinate public conflicts smoothly and efficiently.

승인 등의 업무가 수반되는 국책사업까지 포함합니다.

또 공공갈등을 원만하고 효율적으로 관리하고 조정하기 위해
필요할 경우
사안별로 갈등조정협의회를 구성해 운영하도록 규정합니다.
