6. 1 year extension for use of chartered buses
Up to maximum of 13 years

The service period for chartered buses operating in Jeju will be extended by one year.

The Jeju Transportation Committee reviewed and voted on the agenda to extend the vehicle age of chartered buses from 12 years to 13 years.

The Transport Commission made the decision in consideration of the fact that the average annual mileage of chartered buses in the province was 30,000 km. This is 70,000 km shorter than buses of other regions. In addition, many other provinces have also extended the lifespan of chartered buses.

It is estimated that each bus will save 12 million won as the life span of the bus is extended by 1 year.

제주지역에서 운행 중인 전세버스의 사용 연한이
1년 연장됩니다.

제주도 교통위원회는
전세버스 차령을 기존 12년에서
13년으로 연장하는 안건을 심의해 의결했습니다.

교통위원회는
도내 전세버스의 연평균 주행거리가 3만 km로
다른지역 10만 km보다 짧고
다른 시도에서 차령을 연장하는 점을 고려해
이 같이 결정했다고 밝혔습니다.

한편 차령이 1년 연장됨에 따라
버스 1대당 1천 200만 원이 절감될 것으로 추산됐습니다.
