5. Racehorse auctions resume for first time since COVID-19
Winning bids priced lower than usual

The racehorse auction was held for the first time this year on the 12th. It had been postponed due to the recent COVID-19 crisis.

The racehorse producer association resumed the auction of 130 2-year-old domestic racehorses at the Korea Racing Authority's Jeju Ranch in Jocheon-eup, on the 12th.

The winning bids were lower than usual due to the suspension of races and the continued economic downturn following the COVID-19 crisis.



5. 코로나19로 연기된 경주마 경매 재개

그동안 코로나19 사태로 미뤄졌던
경주마 경매가 올 들어 처음으로 진행됐습니다.

한국경주마생산자협회는 12일
제주시 조천읍 교래리 한국마사회 제주목장에서
2살짜리 국내산 경주마 130여 마리에 대한 경매를 재개했습니다.

하지만 낙찰가는
코로나19에 따른 경마 경기 중단과
지속적인
경기 침체 등의 여파로
평년에 비해 낮게 형성됐습니다.
