2. ‘Province-wide organization' for 4·3 Special Act revision gains momentum
Organization includes political parties, 4.3 organizations, and various civic groups

It’s becoming difficult for the 20th National Assembly to handle the revision of the 4.3 Special Act. A plan to form a province-wide organization for the revision of the special law is pushing ahead.

The Jeju Provincial Council's 4.3 Incident Special Committee, the provincial government, the Jeju Provincial Office of Education, the 4.3 Bereaved Family Committee, and the 4.3 Peace Foundation held a forum in the Jeju Provincial Council's conference room on the 14th. The group stressed that the district should take the lead to revise the special law by actively raising their voice, instead of relying on the national government and the National Assembly.

They agreed to form a province-wide organization to revise the special law, which includes the ruling and opposition parties, 4.3 organizations, and civic groups.

The Jeju Provincial Council says that they will hold public hearings with elected lawmakers, when the 21st National Assembly opens.

특별법 개정 범도민기구를 구성하기로 의견을 모았습니다.

제주도의회는
21대 국회가 개원하면
국회의원 당선자들과
공청회 같은 대화의 장을 정례화하겠다고 밝혔습니다.
