1. 15th local case of COVID-19 confirmed
6 tourists also confirmed to be infected

The 15th case of COVID-19 on Jeju Island was confirmed on May 30th. Six tourists from Gunpo City in Gyeonggi-do Province have also been confirmed to be infected with coronavirus upon returning to their residence after a Jeju vacation.

According to the provincial government, a woman in her 30s visited Jeju on May 29th from the United States. She was confirmed to be infected with COVID-19 on May 30th while quarantining on the island and is now receiving treatment at the Jeju National University Hospital.

Her parents were tested negative and 23 flight passengers who came in close contact with her have been placed in self-quarantine.

Six visitors from Gunpo City have also been confirmed with COVID-19 after they had travelled to Jeju from May 25th to the 27th. 16 accommodation facilities and restaurants that were visited by the group have been shut down temporarily and 159 people who came in close contact with them have been placed in self-quarantine.

코로나19 확진자 발생에 관광객까지 '비상'

제주에서 20일만에 신종 코로나19 확진자가 발생한데 이어
제주에 머문 관광객들도 확진 판정을 받으면서 비상이 걸렸습니다.

제주도에 따르면
지난달 29일 미국에서 인천공항을 거쳐 제주에 들어온 30대 여성이
30일 저녁 코로나19 확진 판정을 받아
제주대병원에서 격리치료를 받고 있습니다.

다행히 이 여성의 부모는 음성 판정을 받았지만
밀접접촉자로 분류된 항공기 탑승객 23명이 자가격리됐습니다.

또 지난달 25일부터 27일까지 제주여행을 하고 돌아간
경기도 군포시 단체관광객 가운데 6명도
코로나19 확진판정을 받아
이들이 머문 숙소와 식당 15곳이 임시 폐쇄됐고
접촉자 119명이 자가격리 조치됐습니다.
