6. Surge in overdue utility fees in the aftermath of COVID19
Province to enact an additional 3 month grace period

Due to the aftermath of COVID 19, the amount of unpaid water and sewage charges is increasing rapidly.

According to the provincial government, the overdue water and sewage charges amounted to 6.8 billion won as of May, more than double the amount at the end of last year.

As a response to the COVID 19 crisis, the suspension of water supply for those who have two months worth of overdue fees will be temporarily suspended for a period of three months.

The payment period will be extended for up to 3 months without incurring additional fees from June to August.

6. 코로나 여파로 상하수도 요금 체납 급증

코로나19 여파 속에
상하수도 요금 체납액이 급증하고 있습니다.

제주특별자치도에 따르면
5월 기준 체납된 상하수도 요금은
68억 여 원으로
지난해 말보다 배 이상 증가했습니다.

이에따라 코로나19 위기를 감안해
2개월 분 체납자에 대한 급수 정지 조치를
3개월 동안
한시적으로 유예합니다.

6월 부터 8월까지 고지되는 요금에 대해서도
가산금 부과 없이
최대 3개월 간 납부를 연장조치합니다.
