As super sweet corn has become a new source of lucrative income, farmland for the crop is increasing on the island.

According to the Jeju Agricultural Research and Extension Services, farmland for super sweet corn in the province has increased from 20 hectares in 2015 to 260 hectares this year.

Farmers are attracted to the profitable margins for the early shipment of the corn, which is a relatively new crop that is gaining popularity.

As the cultivation areas increase, distribution and sales channels are also getting more active by organizaing the body to distribute and select the crops.

새로운 소득작목으로 주목받고 있기 때문입니다.

재배면적이 늘면서
서부지역 농협에는 공선출하회가 조직되는 등
유통과 판매도 활성화되고 있습니다.
