2. Provincial Council requests audit of the private subsidy reduction
Claims budget cuts infringe on council's right to vote

The Jeju Provincial Council requested an inspection from the audit committee regarding Jeju’s 10% reduction in the amount of private subsidies that were passed through the provincial assembly this year.

The Jeju Council's Administrative Home Affairs Committee held a meeting during the closing of the provisional session on the afternoon of the 3rd and decided to request an audit claim.

At the meeting, the council pointed out that the province has repeatedly cut the budget, which was already finalized by the plenary session, by opening a separate subsidy review committee, subsequently infringing on the council’s right to vote.

They also emphasized that the local subsidy management ordinance was revised to address these issues, but was not being followed.

Criticisms were made that the budget should not be adjusted or cut in order to revitalize the economy, as it is a budget directly related to the quality of life of residents.

2. 도의회, '의결된 민간보조금 삭감' 감사 청구

제주도가

이같은 내용을 담은
감사청구의 건을 의결했습니다.

이 자리에서 의회는
본회의에서 확정 의결된 예산을
제주도가
보조금 심의위원회를 열어 삭감하는 사례가 반복되고 있다며
이는 의회의
예산 의결권을 침해하는 것이라고 지적했습니다.

이같은 문제를 해결하기 위해 지방보조금 관리 조례도 개정했지만
지켜지지 않고 있다고 강조했습니다.

특히 민간보조금사업의 경우 지역사회에 직접적으로 투입되는
도민 삶의 질과 직결된 예산인만큼
경제 회생을 위해서는
해당 예산을 조정하거나 삭감해선 안된다고 비판했습니다.
