3. Categories of businesses eligible for Investment Promotion Zones expanded
Cancellation criteria also heightened

Jeju Investment Promotion Zones will be expanded and the criteria for cancellation will be heightened.

The provincial government will announce an ordinance on the investment promotion zones on June 10th.

According to the main ordinance, they will add cosmetics manufacturing and marina businesses to the zones. Locations and subsections designated for high-tech businesses, research and development, as well as food and beverage manufacturing will be expanded.

However, casino businesses, duty free stores, and recreational condominiums are excluded.

If the investment is not carried out within 5 years of the designated date of the investment promotion zone, the new cancellation standard will nullify the designation.

제주투자진흥지구의 업종이 확대되고 해제기준은 강화됩니다.

투자진흥지구 관련 조례안을 오는 10일자로 공포합니다.

주요내용을 보면
화장품제조업과 마리나업을 신규로 추가하고
첨단사업과 연구개발업,
식음료제조업의 분야와 지역을 확대합니다.

대신 카지노업과 보세판매장, 휴양콘도미니엄은 대상에서 제외됩니다.

또 투자진흥지구 지정일로부터
5년 이내에 투자를 이행하지 않을 경우
지정 해제하도록 기준을 강화합니다.
