Personnel hearings to be held

The former Vice Governor for Administrative Affairs of Jeju Island, Ahn Dong-woo (안동우), and former Deputy Mayor of Seogwipo City, Kim Tae-yeop (김태엽), were selected as mayoral candidates of Jeju and Seogwipo City, respectively.

The province has selected administrative mayor candidates will make a request on June 10 to the Jeju Provincial Council for a personnel hearing.

Ahn Dong-woo served as a third-term provincial councilor and vice governor for political affairs on Jeju Island, while Kim Tae-yeop served as a civil servant for 32 years.

The provincial council will form a special committee for personnel hearings on candidates, but the hearing progress report carries no legal binding power on the appointment of the mayor.

오는 10일 제주도의회에
인사청문을 요청하기로 했습니다.

안동우 후보자는
3선 도의원과 제주도 정무부지사를 역임했고
김태엽 후보자는
서귀포시 부시장 등 32년 간 공직 생활을 지냈습니다.

도의회는 인사청문특별위원회를 구성해
임용 후보자에 대한 인사청문을 실시하게 되며
다만 청문경과 보고서가
시장 임명에 대해 구속력을 갖지는 않습니다.
