2. Exceeding number of land violations at site of 2nd airport
Seogwipo City to conduct formal investigation

It has been reported that more than 30% of the land at the scheduled site for the 2nd airport at Seongsan-eup, which was bound as a land transaction permission zone, is in violation of the conditions for use.

According to Seogwipo City, 36% of the land that received transaction permits in2018 were found to be in violation of the conditions of use.

The total amount of land in violation is 327,000 square meters.

In most cases, after obtaining land transaction permits for forestry or agriculture, the space was left uncultivated.

The City of Seogwipo is planning to issue an order of compliance as well as conduct a high-intensity investigation into the violations.

성산읍 제2공항 예정부지 일대 토지의 30% 이상이
이용허가 조건을 위반한 것으로 조사됐습니다.

서귀포시에 따르면
지난 2018년 토지거래 허가를 받은
토지 90만 제곱미터 가운데 36%인 32만 7천 제곱미터가
이행조건을 지키지 않았습니다.

대부분 임업이나 농업용으로
토지거래 허가를 받은 뒤
실제로는 나무를 심지 않거나
경작하지 않은 상태로 방치하는 경우가 많았습니다.

서귀포시는
위반 토지에 대해서는 이행명령을 내리고,
올해도 거래허가된 토지에 대해
고강도 실태조사를 벌일 계획입니다.
