In the aftermath of COVID 19, the price of Tyvek soil cladding material that is used at tangerine orchards has risen significantly, increasing the burden on farmers.

According to the agricultural materials distribution industry, the sale price of Tyvek in Jeju has increased by 20% in both domestic and imported products.

This is because most of the nonwoven fabric, a key raw material in Tyvek, has been used to produce masks and protective gear for COVID-19 protection, causing supply difficulties.

Tyvek cladding is expected to occur in concentration at the end of the monsoon season, and with the current shortages, the supply is in a state of emergency.
