Jeju to establish comprehensive environmental conservation plans by end of year
Plans will guide environmental policies for next decade

Jeju Island will establish comprehensive plans on environmental conservation that will be used as guidelines in putting together environmental policies for the next 10 years.

The plans will include strategies to preserve the environment by sector, including natural ecology, waste management, air quality control and water care management. The plans will also stipulate detailed execution plans.

The Jeju Research Institute will conduct research to establish the comprehensive plans by the end of the year.

The province will take into consideration the opinions of residents, experts and environmental groups when making the plans.
