6. Jeju exports greenhouse tangerines for first time to US market
Southeast Asia also eyed for next export target

This year's Jeju greenhouse tangerines are on their way to being exported to the US market.

The Jeju Tangerine Agricultural Cooperative announced that they will begin exporting the greenhouse tangerines to Guam for the first time.

This year's first greenhouse tangerine export measures 1.2 tons, and the plan is to export more than one shipment a week until October when naturally grown tangerines are expected to be available for export.

The Jeju Appraisal Association is also planning to expand exports to Southeast Asia, Hong Kong and Singapore.

올해산 제주 하우스감귤이 미국시장 수출길에 오릅니다.

제주감귤농협은
미국 괌에 하우스감귤 첫 수출을 시작으로
본격 수출에 나선다고 밝혔습니다.

올해 첫 하우스감귤 수출 물량은 1.2톤으로
노지감귤 수출이 시작되는 10월까지
주 1회 이상 수출한다는 계획입니다.

제주감협은 미국에 이어
홍콩과 싱가포르 등 동남아지역까지도
수출을 확대한다는 방침입니다.
