1. Jeju confirms 16th COVID-19 patient
Province expects number of people who came in contact with patient, ‘zero’

The newly confirmed 16th case of COVID19 has occurred just three days after all COVID-19 patients in Jeju were discharged.

The province announced that a man in his 20s, who had been under self-quarantine since arriving in Jeju on the 11th, has tested positive on the 16th.

The patient was asymptomatic at the time of arrival through Incheon International Airport and it was difficult to determine whether he was positive or negative from the test given at the Jeju Airport's walk-through screening station.

The provincial government believes that the patient had no local contact with other residents of the island, given that he has been following self-quarantine procedures and living separately from his parents since arriving.

지난 11일 제주에 도착한 후 자가격리중이던
20대 남성이
16일 실시된 검사에서 확진 판정을 받았다고 밝혔습니다.

이 확진자는
인천공항을 통해 입국할 당시 무증상이었으며
제주공항 워크스루 선별진료소 검사에서도
양성 또는 음성 판정이 어려운 상태였던 것으로 확인됐습니다.

제주도는 다만
확진자가 입도한 이후 부모와 따로 생활했고
자가격리를 잘 지킨 점에 미뤄
접촉자는 없을 것으로 보고 있습니다.
