Two individuals ordered to wear GPS bands

Another case of COVID-19 self-quarantine violations was reported in Jeju.

The provincial government filed a police report against two people who traveled to a mart in a rental car with a third individual on the 15th. They had not installed the ‘Self-Quarantine Safety Protection App’.

The pair had been placed in self-quarantine after coming in contact with a COVID-19 patient from Yeongdeungpo, Seoul.

As a result of their violations, the province ordered them to wear safety bands with a location tracking function. The government eased the public’s concerns by also stating that the two have tested negative for coronavirus.

감염병 예방법 위반 혐의로 경찰에 고발했습니다.

이들은 자가격리 안전보호앱을 설치하지 않은 상태에서
15일 저녁 지인이 운전하는 렌터카를 타고
대형마트에서 물품을 구입한 것으로 확인됐습니다.

제주도는 이들에게 위치추적 기능이 달린
안심밴드를 착용시키고 자가격리 조치했으며
코로나 검사 결과 음성 판정을 받았다고 설명했습니다.
