3. Conflict among ferry service companies in Biyangdo resolved
Ferry services resumed June 19

As the conflict between private ferry companies in Biyang-do has been resolved, the operations of private ferries between Hallim Port and Biyang-do Port have resumed on the 19th.

The shipping companies have both agreed against filing lawsuits against one another and instead have decided to pursue a mutually beneficial plan, as they strive to promote the development of the village and harmony amongst the residents.

In the wake of the conflict, Jeju City had dispatched an administrative line that has transported 5,000 tourists since last month.

비양도 선사 갈등 일단락…도항선 운항 재개

이권 다툼을 벌이던
비양도 민간 선사 갈등이 일단락되면서
19일부터 한림항과 비양도항을 오가는
민간 도항선 운항이 재개됐습니다.

제주시는
민간 선사 두 곳이
지난 4일 상생 방안을 위한 의견서를 제출하면서
50일 동안 운항한 행정선 투입을 중단하고
19일부터 민간 도항선 두 척이 운항을
재개한다고 밝혔습니다.

선사측은
상생 방안에
마을 발전과 주민 화합을 위해 노력하고
선사 간 고소고발과 소송을 하지 않겠다고
합의했습니다.

제주시는
민간 선사 갈등이 불거지자
지난달부터 행정선을 투입해
관광객 5천여 명을 수송했습니다.
