6. Lotte and Shilla Duty-free to begin domestic sales of duty-free goods
Special allowance only effective until October 29

The Lotte and Shilla Duty Free shops will start selling their duty-free products in the domestic market starting this week.

Shilla Duty Free will begin domestic sales of more than 40 brands later this week on its travel brokerage platform, Shilla Trip.

Lotte Duty Free also plans to sell their duty-free items at offline stores, such as department stores and outlets, in time for the upcoming nation-wide Dong-Haeng sale that begins on June 26.

The Korea Customs Service is allowing domestic sales of duty-free inventories that have not been sold for over six months to support the duty-free industry suffering from COVID-19. The special allowance will be effective until October 29.

앞서 관세청은
코로나19로 어려움을 겪는 면세업계를 지원하기 위해
6개월 이상 팔리지 않은 재고품을
오는 10월 29일까지 한시저긍로
내수 판매할 수 있도록 허용했습니다.
