4. Reservation rates for domestic accommodation facilities double
Pensions are most popular for summer vacationers

With international travel routes heavily curtailed or even blocked by COVID-19 measures, the booking rates for domestic accommodation facilities have significantly increased.

According to one online accommodation booking platform, the reservation rates for domestic lodging facilities until August have doubled compared to the year before.

By region, the reservation rates for Gangwon-do Province and Gyeonggi-do Province were 16.9% and 14.9%, respectively. Jeju Island took third place at 14.3%.

By type of facility, pensions took the highest reservation rate at 43.8%. This figure indicates that travelers prefer accommodation facilities that have lower possibilities of coming into contact with other people.

숙박 예약 플랫폼인 '야놀자'는
오는 8월까지 국내 숙소 예약률이
2배 이상 늘었다고 밝혔습니다.

지역별 예약률은
강원도와 경기도가 16.9%와 14.9%로 가장 높았으며,
제주가 14.3%로 3번째를 기록했습니다.

숙소 유형별로는
펜션이 43.8%로 1위를 기록해
타인과의 접촉 가능성이 낮은 독채형 숙소에 대한 선호도가
높은 것으로 나타났습니다.
