6. Solar energy permits to be canceled for neglected construction sites
Companies will have 6 months to complete building projects

Administrative measures will be taken out on businesses that do not carry out construction work for an extended period of time after obtaining a permit for a solar energy business.

Jeju City plans to cancel the project permits of 18 sites within 6 months if they are not completed during that time. These sites have been determined to have delayed their construction after receiving solar energy business permits.

The government will also create new regulatory measures that require compliance with the construction period from the time of approval.

The solar energy project has currently been suspended at 18 sites and voluntarily canceled by 3 sites due to problems with KEPCO's power lines and falling prices of renewable energy supply certificates.

장기간 공사를 하지 않는 사업장에 대해
행정처분이 이뤄집니다.

제주시는
이미 태양광 허가를 받고도
공사가 지연된 18개 사업장에 대해
6개월 내로 준공하지 않으면 사업 허가를 취소할 계획입니다.

아울러
허가시점부터 착공과 공사기간 준수를 의무화하는
규제방안도 마련합니다.

태양광 사업은
한전 배전선로 문제와
신재생에너지공급인증서 가격 하락 등의 요인으로
현재 18곳이 공사를 중단했고 세 곳은 자진 취소했습니다.
