8. Amount of fishery catch in first half of year increases by 26%
Amounts of cutlassfish and yellow croakers surge

The catch of fish from boats and fisheries in Jeju has increased significantly in the first half of this year.

According to the Jeju provincial government, the amount of goods and sales of fishery cooperatives were estimated at 19,000 tons and 180 billion won, respectively, in the first half of this year.

The amount of goods increased by 26% and the sales of good sold increased by 42% compared to the same period last year.

The amount of cutlassfish sold was 8,700 tons, which is an increase of 74 percent from last year's sales and yellow croakers saw a 59 percent increase.

On the other hand, the amount of sales for yellowtail, yellow sea bream and mackerel decreased by 66 percent, 30 percent and 25 percent, respectively.

상반기 어획량 26% 증가…갈치·참조기 급증

올해 상반기
제주지역 연근해 어선어업 어획량이
크게 늘었습니다.

제주도에 따르면,
올 상반기 각 수협별 위판량은 1만 9천여 톤,
위판액은 1천 800억 여원으로 집계됐습니다.

지난해 같은 기간보다 위판량은 26%,
위판액은 42% 증가한 것입니다.

주요 어종별로 보면
갈치 위판량이 8천 700여 톤으로 지난해보다 74%나 늘었고
참조기도 59% 증가했습니다.

반면 방어와 옥돔, 고등어는
위판량이 각각 66%와 30%, 25% 줄어든 것으로 집계됐습니다.
