1. Crackdown on drinking and eating at 2 local beaches
Violators can face up to ￦3M in fines

The crackdown on banned activities, such as night time drinking and eating, at Hyeopjae and Hamdeok Beaches has begun on the 25th.

The provincial government, along with the administrative city, municipal police, and the town council, began the enforcement of the new COVID-19 countermeasures policy at 7PM on July 25th.

Those who violate the rules by drinking and eating in public spaces on the beaches will be prosecuted and face a fine of up to 3 million won according to the Infectious Diseases Prevention Act.

Jeju Island is asking for the cooperation from all beach-goers in order to prevent the further spread of COVID-19.

야간 음주나 취식행위가 전면 금지된 가운데
그동안의 계도기간이 끝나고
25일부터 본격적인 단속이 시작되었습니다.

이에따라 제주도는
25일 저녁 7시부터 행정시, 자치경찰, 마을회와 함께
협재와 함덕해수욕장에서
야간 음주와 취식행위에 대한 단속에 나섰습니다.

특히 계도나 지도에도 불구하고
고질적으로 음주나
취식행위를 강행할 경우 고발조치하며
감염병예방법에 따라 최대 300만원의 벌금을 받을 수 있습니다.

제주도는 코로나 예방차원을 위한 조치인 만큼
이용객들의 협조를 당부하고 있습니다.
