3. Requirements raised to operate lodging businesses in rural villages
Only residents permitted to open accommodation facilities

Jeju Island will raise the requirements needed to operate lodging facilities in farming and fishing villages.

Revisions of the relevant laws will begin next month, and will stipulate that only residents who have lived in the area for more than six months be allowed to operate private lodging businesses in the area.

In order to prevent unauthorized private lodging, businesses using rented houses will be restricted. Notices will also be required to be visible on site so that visitors can identify lodging businesses.

Any violation of the revised operational requirements or safety standards will result in a correction order or an order to close the business.

3. 농어촌 민박 운영요건 강화…'거주민만 영업 가능'

앞으로 농어촌 민박 운영 요건이 강화됩니다.

다음 달 부터 관련 법령이 개정되면서
해당 지역에서
6개월 이상 거주한 주민만 민박을 운영할 수 있게 됩니다.

무허가 민박 난립을 막기 위해
임차한 주택을 활용한 민박업은 제한되며
농어촌 민박을
소비자가 알 수 있도록
관련 안내 문구 부착도 의무화됩니다.

개정된 운영 요건이나 안전기준을 위반하면
시정 명령이나
사업장 폐쇄명령 같은 행정처분이 내려집니다.
