5. Seoul to provide discount coupons in eight industries
New initiative expected to help revive economy

In order to boost domestic demand, Seoul will provide discount coupons in eight industries, starting with agricultural and fishery products, at the end of this month.

The eight areas include agricultural and fishery products, tourism, lodging, movies and performances, exhibitions, and restaurants. They will be distributed to online and offline consumers on a first-come, first-served basis.

Six million coupons for agricultural and fishery products will be dispersed, which will give a 20% discount of up to 10,000 won.

The government expects the discount coupon will generate 1 trillion won worth of transactions and help revive the economy.

5. 정부, 농수산물 등 8대 분야 할인쿠폰 지급

정부가
내수 활성화를 위해
이달 말 농수산물을 시작으로
8대 분야 할인소비쿠폰을
순차적으로 지급합니다.

8대 분야는
농수산물과 관광, 숙박,
영화와 공연, 전시, 외식 등으로
온라인과 오프라인 상품 구매자에게
선착순으로 지급됩니다.

먼저 농수산물 쿠폰을 쓰면
구매자 600만명에게 상품 가격의 20%,
최대 1만원을 깎아줄 예정입니다.

정부는 이번 할인쿠폰 지급으로
1조원 규모의 소비를 이끌어내고
경기 회복에 도움을 줄 것으로
기대하고 있습니다.
