2. Number of visitors to Jeju increases by 23% during special period for travel
Province records highest increase nationwide

The number of visitors to Jeju has increased during a special period for travel set by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism to boost domestic consumption.

The special travel period was designated from July 1st to the 19th and the number of travellers increased at 23.6% during this time. This figure is the highest increase nationwide.

The increase rate of Gangwon-do Province was recorded at the second highest by 18.6% with Incheon City taking third place by hitting 9%.

On the other hand, the number of visitors to Daejeon and Gwangju City decreased due to recent cases of COVID-19 infection.

제주 방문객이 증가한 것으로 나타났습니다.

문화체육관광부에 따르면
지난달 1일에서 19일 사이
제주 방문객 수는 23.6% 증가해
전국에서 가장 높은 증가율을 보였습니다.

제주에 이어
강원이 18.6%, 인천이 9% 순으로 증가했습니다.

반면
코로나19 감염자가 발생한 대전과 광주 등은
방문자가 줄었습니다.
