5. Prices of local houses continue to drop
Jeju records only decline nationwide

Housing prices are continuing to drop in Jeju Island.

Jeju is the only province in the nation that is showing a decline in prices.

According to the Korea Appraisal Board, the housing transaction price index of Jeju dropped by 0.14% compared to the previous month with apartments showing the largest decline at -0.21%.

Local housing prices have been decreasing for 19 months since January 2019.

The appraisal board analyzed the decrease in the prices that unsold housing stocks increase and the demand for houses has reduced due to the economic slump caused by COVID-19.

감정원은
미분양 주택 물량이 누적되고
코로나19로 인한 경기 침체 여파로
주택 구매 수요가 감소한 것이 주요 원인이라고 분석했습니다.
