KMA: 'Stay alert against heat related diseases'

The heat wave in Jeju continues, with northern Jeju recording over 14 days of sweltering temperatures.

According to the Jeju Regional Meteorological Administration, nights in Jeju have been hitting record temperatures, recently recording 28.9 degrees Celsius in Jeju City and 26.2 degrees Celsius in Seogwipo.


The Korea Meteorological Administration (KMA) urged residents to take extra health precautions and stated that as high temperature and the humidity of southern winds continue to flow in, temperatures will not drop anytime soon..

4. 제주북부, 보름 연속 열대야…"온열질환 주의"


제주 북부지역에 보름 연속 열대야 현상이 관측되는 등
무더위가 계속되고 있습니다.

제주지방기상청에 따르면
지난 밤사이 제주시 28.9도, 서귀포 26.2도 등
제주 전역에서 열대야가 관측됐습니다.

특히 북부지역은 지난달 27일 이후 15일 연속
열대야 현상이 관측됐습니다.

기상청은 고온다습한 남풍류가 지속해서 유입돼
밤사이 기온이 충분히 떨어지지 않는다며
온열질환 등 건강관리에 각별한 주의를 당부했습니다.
