1. Family of tourists confirmed positive for COVID-19 after Jeju vacation
Visitors from Gimpo, Chungju

A group of tourists who came to Jeju Island on a family trip were confirmed positive for COVID-19, and has put the Jeju authorities on alert.

The province announced on the morning of the 16th that a man in his 30s who traveled to Jeju Island with his parents were all confirmed to be tested positive for COVID 19. The man was tested at a public health center in Gimpo City, Gyeonggi-do province and the parents are residents of Chungju (충주) city.

The man and his daughter arrived first to Jeju on an Asiana Airlines flight from Gimpo at 12:25 p.m. on the 10th, and his parents flew in from Chungju the same afternoon. They stayed in Jeju for two nights and three days, and traveled by a rental car. It was also confirmed that everyone wore masks at all destinations.

Jeju Island says they have completed quarantine and disinfection measures at more than 10 tourist attractions, restaurants and accommodations where the group stayed.

The province explained that the confirmed Gimpo resident had fever and muscle pain from the 12th, shortly after leaving Jeju, and was confirmed to be a member of the Yoido Full Gospel Church located in Seoul.

제주로 가족여행을 다녀간 관광객 일행이 코로나19 확진판정을 받아 제주방역당국에 비상이 걸렸습니다.

제주특별자치도는 16일 오전 경기도 김포시 보건소로부터 제주여행을 다녀갔던 30대 남성이, 그리고 일행이었던 이 남성의 부모는 충주시 보건소를 통해 코로나19 확진판정을 받았다고 밝혔습니다.

이 30대 남성은 지난 10일 딸과 함께 김포에서 낮 12시 25분발 아시아나 항공을 타고 먼저 제주에 도착했으며 충주에서 출발한 부모는 같은 날 오후에 합류해 2박 3일간 제주에 머물렀으며 렌터카로 주요 관광지를 이동한 것으로 확인됐습니다.

또 확인된 모든 동선에서 마스크를 착용한 것으로 나타났습니다.

제주도는 일행이 머물렀던 관광지와 음식점, 숙소 등 10여곳에 대해 방역과 소독조치를 마무리했다고 밝혔습니다.

한편 김포 확진자는 제주를 떠난 직후인 12일부터 발열과 근육통 증상을 호소했으며 서울 여의도순복음교회 교인으로 확인됐다고 제주도는 설명했습니다.
