Employment rate in Jeju falls 0.7%p from last year
Females see rise in employment, males experience decline

The employment rate in Jeju has fallen from last year due to the shock in the job market following the COVID -19 crisis.

According to the employment data for the month of July, the Jeju Office of the Honam Regional Statistics Office reported the employment rate in the province at 66.8%, which is a decrease of 0.7%p from last year.

By gender, the employment rate for females rose 1.3%p to 62.1%, while employment rates for males fell 2.9%p to 71.4%.

The number of employed people stood at 376,000, which is a decrease of 1,000 from the same period last year.

7월 제주특별자치도 고용동향에 따르면
도내 고용률은 66.8%로 전년 동월 대비 0.7%p
하락했습니다.

성별로는
여자가 62.1%로 1.3%p 상승한 반면
남자는 71.4%로 2.9%p 떨어졌습니다.

취업자 수는 37만 6천명으로
지난해 같은 기간보다 1천명 감소했습니다.
