Province requests the Annexation flag be flown on 29th
Seeks to honor nation’s history of Korea-Japan Annexation

The provincial government has requested that the Korea-Japan Annexation flag be flown at half-mast on the 29th, the Korea-Japan Annexation day, to reflect on the painful history of the country.

The hours for flying the flags are from 7 a.m. to midnight for government offices and public institutions, and from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. for residents and private organizations.

The flags being flown at half-mast is carried out in accordance with the "Ordinance on the lowering of the flag, regarding the 4.3 Victims Memorial Day of Jeju Island,", enacted in April 2014.

제주도가 경술국치일인 오는 29일
나라잃은 아픈 역사를 되새기기 위해 조기 게양을 당부했습니다.

조기 게양 시간은
관공서와 공공기관 등은 오전 7시부터 자정까지,
가정과 민간기업, 단체 등은 오전 7시부터 오후 6시까지 입니다.

조기 달기는 지난 2014년 4월 제정한
'제주도 4.3희생자추념일 등 국기의 조기게양에 관한 조례'에 따라 추진되고 있습니다.
