Public school teacher confirmed with COVID-19 causes state of emergency

A middle school teacher in Jeju City has been confirmed positive for COVID 19, and the diagnosis has caused a state of emergency at the Jeju Provincial Office of Education.

The office is strengthening preventive measures across all educational institutions, and faculty members are now prohibited from work-related travel outside of the province.

The POE has also mandated schools to adhere to the guidelines for the prevention of diseases for faculty service management.

The new regulations primarily stress that faculty members are prohibited from work-related travel to other provinces and in unavoidable cases, a report to the principal is required.
