Distribution of Jeju local currency pushed back to November
Delays in bidding announcement interrupts original schedule

The distribution of the Jeju regional currency, originally scheduled to be issued in October, has been pushed back a month to November.

The provincial government announced the opening of the bid for the management of the local currency on August 26th and plans to receive the proposal by the 7th of September.

The bidding announcement was originally scheduled to be released between the 13th and 24th of August. However, the government explained that the schedule was delayed in the process of supplementing and improving the service standards.

As a result, the preferred bidder for the management of the local currency will not be selected until mid-September.

Considering that the schedule has been pushed back, the province expects that the currency will not be available until November.

제주도는
어제(26일) 제주 지역화폐 운영대행 용역 입찰 공고를 내고
다음달 7일까지 제안서를 접수할 계획입니다.

당초 지난 13일부터 24일까지 입찰 공고를 내려던 일정에서
늦춰진 것으로
용역 사전규격을 보완, 개선하는 과정에서 일정이 지연됐다고
제주도는 설명했습니다.

이에따라 지역화폐 운영을 대행할 우선협상대상자도
다음달 중순 이후에나 선정될 전망입니다.

제주도는 우선협상대상자 선정과 계약 체결 등
남은 일정을 감안하면
실질적인 화폐 발행은 11월에나 가능할 것으로 내다봤습니다.
