National College Entrance Exam confirmed for December 3
Remote classes to commence a week prior to exams

The government has set the date for the National College Entrance Exam for December 3, as originally scheduled. The date will remain unchanged even in the case of an upgrade to Level 3 social distancing if COVID-19 cases increase nationwide.

The Ministry of Education and the National Council of Superintendents of Education announced the plan for the 2021 College Entrance Exam.

They decided to limit the number of test-takers to up to 24 students per testing room and designate separate testing rooms for those who show symptoms of COVID-19.

Those undergoing self-quarantine and individuals who are COVID-19 positive will be able to take the test at separate test centers, hospitals, and treatment facilities.

Meanwhile, to prevent the spread of COVID-19, high schools will switch to remote classes from November 26, a week before the college entrance exams.

3. 수능, 예정대로 12월 3일 시행…1주 전 원격수업

정부가 코로나19 상황이 악화돼 사회적 거리두기가 3단계로 격상되더라도 12월 3일로 예정된 수능을 예정대로 시행하기로 했습니다.

교육부와 전국시도교육감협의회는 이 같은 내용을 담은
2021학년도 대입 관리계획을 발표했습니다.

단 고사실별 수험생 인원을 최대 24명으로 제한하고
시험장마다 코로나19 의심 증상을 보이는 수험생을 위한
별도 시험실을 마련하기로 했습니다.

자가격리자와 확진자도 각각 별도시험장이나 병원, 생활치료시설에서 시험을 치를 수 있도록 할 방침입니다.

한편 코로나19 전파를 막기 위해
수능 일주일 전인 11월 26일부터 고등학교는 원격 수업으로
전환할 방침입니다.
