Governor expresses gratitude to residents, health care workers
Jeju Island maintains zero infections through Chuseok holiday

Governor Won Hee-ryong has expressed his gratitude for the active cooperation of all residents who helped maintain Jeju Island as a safe zone during the Chuseok holidays. A safe zone refers to an area without any local COVID-19 infections.

Governor Won emphasized that the willingness of residents to practice preventive measures and actively cooperate with the quarantine system initiated by the province was key in battling the virus.

The governor also expressed his gratitude to health care workers and praised their dedication to the community by calling them the heroes of Jeju Island.

Residents and tourists were also urged to remain vigilant following the Chuseok holidays due to the two-week incubation period of the virus as well as the upcoming Hangul Proclamation Day holiday.

이와 함께 추석 연휴 이후 2주간의 바이러스 잠복기와
한글날 연휴로
한시도 긴장감을 늦출 수 없는 상황이라며
도민과 관광객들에게
성숙한 시민의식을 계속 발휘해 달라고 당부했습니다.
