Travel industry firms apply for the most loan support
85 applications submitted requesting total of ₩5.8B
Businesses in the travel industry have applied for the most number of loan applications from the Jeju Tourism Promotion Fund in the second half of this year, reflecting the industry's difficulties during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Jeju Island closed loan applications from the Tourism Promotion Fund on the 16th. It received a total of 199 applications requesting a total of 28.9 billion won.
Travel industry firms applied for 5.8 billion won in loans in 85 applications, topping other industries in terms of total loan size and number of applications. The industries next in line on the list were lodging, food service, and chartered buses.
Previously, in the first half of this year, some 1,400 companies applied for 180 billion won in loans. Repayment deadlines for 270 billion won in existing loans were suspended for two years.

하반기 관광진흥기금 융자지원 신청을 마감한 결과
199건에 289억 원이 접수됐습니다.
업종별로 보면,
여행업이 85건에 58억 원을 신청해
신청 건수와 금액 모두 가장 많았고,
숙박업, 식당업, 전세버스업 등이 뒤를 이었습니다.
앞서 올해 상반기에는
1천 400여 개 업체가 약 1천 800억 원에 대한 융자를 신청했고
기존에 대출받은 2천 700억 원에 대해
2년 동안 상환을 유예하기로 했습니다.
