Court orders ￦2.2B in fines for manufacturing and selling unlicensed jam
Defendants repeated the same crime in2018

Senior Judge Jang Chan-soo of the Jeju District Court, sentenced a 44-year-old defendant surnamed Roh, to three years in prison with a five-year probationary period, and a fine of 1.5 billion won. The crime was making and selling 700 million won worth of jam at an unauthorized facility for one year from March last year.

A 39-year-old woman, identified only by her surname Baek, was sentenced to one and a half years in prison with a two-year probation and a fine of 750 million won.

The court explained the reason for the sentence, saying that the defendants repeated the crime despite being charged with selling jam with no expiration date and being put on suspension of indictment in February 2018.

징역 3년에 집행유예 5년, 벌금 15억원을 선고했습니다.

또 같은 혐의로 기소된 직원인 39살 여성 백 모 피고인에게
징역 1년 6월에 집행유예 2년, 벌금 7억5천만원을 선고했습니다.

재판부는 피고인들이
지난 2018년 2월 유통기한 등이 표시되지 않은 잼을 판매한
혐의로 고발돼 기소유예 처분을 받았음에도 불구하고
다시 범행을 저질렀다며 양형이유를 설명했습니다.
