Jeju's 60th COVID-19 patient confirmed on Nov. 3
First case in 42 days

A confirmed case of COVID-19 has occurred in Jeju for the first time in 42 days.

The province reported that patient no. 60 underwent testing for COVID-19 at the Jeju Public Health Center and was confirmed on the 3rd. The patient was tested after being notified on November 2nd as a contact of a patient in Seoul. The 60th patient was transferred to Jeju National University Hospital for isolated treatment

It has been 42 days since Jeju Island's last case on September 23rd.

According to the province, the patient arrived in Jeju at 7:40 pm on November 1st by air and visited three restaurants, a cafe, an efficiency apartment and convenience stores before being tested positive.

The provincial government has decided not to announce the travel route of the patient, since all contacts have been traced, except the restaurant.

The decision comes after an update to the guidelines made by the KCDC to not disclose the travel routes of COVID-19 patients, if all contacted people confirmed.

2일 서울의 한 보건소로부터
확진자의 접촉자로 통보받고
제주보건소를 찾아 검사를 받은 결과 양성판정을 받았습니다.

지난 9월 23일 이후 42일만입니다.

제주도에 따르면,
60번째 확진자는 지난 1일 저녁 7시 40분쯤
항공편을 이용해 제주에 도착했고
확진 판정을 받기 전까지
제주시내 음식점 3곳과 카페 1곳,
오피스텔 1곳과 편의점 등을 방문했습니다.

제주도는 이 가운데 음식점 1곳은
현재 접촉자를 파악하고 있고
나머지 동선은 접촉자가 모두 확인됐다며
공개하지 않고 있습니다.

한편 제주도는
지난달부터 변경된 중앙방역대책본부 지침에 따라
해당 시설의 접촉자가 모두 파악되면 장소나 시간 등을 공개하지 않기로 했습니다.
