Reduced water utility bill for residents affected by tap water contamination
31,320 households in Seogwipo eligible for deductions

The provincial government has decided to provide a lump-sum reduction in water utility fees to residents affected by the larvae contamination in tap water.

The reduction will apply to 31,320 households in Seogwipo City that are supplied with water from the Gangjeong water purification plant, which includes the areas of Jeongbang, Cheonji, Donghong, and Jungmun.

The reduction rate will be applied differently depending on the duration of the damage. Thirty percent will be reduced if the duration is less than 15 days per month, and a fifty percent deduction will be made for any period longer than 15 days.

For payments due in November, a 30% discount will be applied.

The water supply fees of December will vary depending on the supply date of tap water.

상수도 요금을 일괄 감면해주기로 했습니다.

대상은
강정정수장 공급구역인
송산과 정방, 중앙,
천지, 효돈, 동홍, 서홍,
대륜, 대천, 중문동 3만 1천 320세대입니다.

감면요율은 피해 기간별로 차등 적용해
월 기준으로
15일 미만이면 30%를,
15일 이상이면 50%를 감면하게 됩니다.

11월 고지분의 경우
재난문자를 보낸 10월 21일부터 31일까지를 기준으로
30%가 적용됩니다.

12월 고지분 상수도 요금은 수돗물의 정상공급일에 따라 달라질 예정입니다.
