NCGE calls for passing of revised 4·3 Special Act
‘Ruling will serve as a precedent for documentation of Korean history’

Seventeen metropolitan and provincial education superintendents across the country have called for swift handling of the revision of the Jeju 4.3 Special Act.

The National Council of Governors of Education recently announced a joint statement at its 75th general assembly in Cheongju City to pass the revision of the Jeju 4.3 Special Act.

In the joint statement, the superintendents stressed that the revision of the special law will serve as a very important example for properly passing down the memories of Korean history.

공동입장문에서 전국 시도교육감들은
"4·3을 비롯한
대한민국 역사의 기억을 후세에 바르게 전승하는 데 있어
특별법 개정안이
매우 중요한 기반이 될 것"이라고 강조했습니다.
