Provincial council pushing for extension of assembly meetings
10 to 20 days to be increased

The Jeju Provincial Council is pushing to increase the number of conferences held by the council.

Chairman Joa Nam-su has announced that he will submit a revision to the ordinance on the operation of the Jeju Provincial Council's regular meeting to the 389th regular session, which opens this week.

The revision calls for extending the current maximum limit of 130 days of meetings, 60 days of regular meetings, and 20 days of extraordinary meetings by 10 to 20 days each.

Chairman Joa explained that the move is aimed at promoting more vigorous parliamentary activities by securing the resilience and efficiency of the session's operations.
