Traffic analysis service of tourist attractions launched in Jeju
Visitors can check number of people in real-time

A service that shows how crowded tourist attractions in Jeju are in real-time is undergoing test operations.

Jeju Island and the Jeju Tourism Organization announced that they are operating a real-time tourist congestion analysis service using big data technology on the Visit Jeju website.

The service uses base station data from the telecommunication carriers to provide an analysis of tourists by gender and age that is updated every five minutes. The service is displaying the sites with the largest number of tourists and is also able to identify the locations that had an increase in the number tourists in the last three hours.

The Jeju Tourism Organization will officially operate the congestion analysis service from the 23rd of this month both online and on application platforms.

빅데이터 기술을 활용한 실시간 관광지 혼잡도 분석 서비스를
비짓제주 홈페이지를 통해 운영한다고 밝혔습니다.

이 서비스는 통신사의 기지국 데이터를 활용해
관광객들의 성별, 연령별 지역 분포도를
5분 단위로 제공하게 되며
현재 관광객이 가장 많은 곳,
최근 3시간 동안 증가한 곳을 확인할 수 있습니다.

제주관광공사는
오는 23일부터 혼잡도 분석 서비스를 정식 운영할 예정이며
앞으로 모바일과 어플리케이션으로도 제공할 계획입니다.
