Over ￦100M in payouts have been made for local bicyclists
Jeju City has insured bicyclists for past 5 years

Jeju City has offered residents’ bicycle insurance for its fifth year this year, and the insurance payouts have exceeded 100 million won.

According to Jeju City, the number of insurance claims for bicycle accidents has reached 180 cases over the past five years since the insurance was first offered in 2016. The amount of payouts since then has been estimated at 110 million.

The city provides bicycle insurance coverage for seven categories, including 10 million won for compensation of accident-related deaths and 2 million won to cover the costs of lawyers.

Residents of Jeju are automatically signed up for the insurance without any additional procedures and are eligible for the benefits.

제주시는
자전거 사고 사망시 최고 1천만 원,
변호사 선임 비용으로 2백만 원을 지원하는 등
7개 항목에 대해 자전거 보험 보장 서비스를 제공하고 있습니다.

자전거 보험은 제주시민이면
별도의 절차 없이 자동으로 가입돼
보험 혜택을 받을 수 있습니다
