Mandatory mask-wearing mandate in effect
￦100,000 fine for violations

A fine for not wearing masks in public has been imposed starting from the 13th to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

As a result, Jeju Island is cracking down on 55 industries that are required to wear masks.

The facilities subject to the crackdown include bars, karaoke rooms, exercise facilities, traditional markets, and hair salons.

Face coverings that are considered unsafe, such as mesh masks, valve masks and scarves are not allowed and will also be subject to a fine.

Regardless of the number of prior warnings, the province is asking everyone on the island to actively adhere to the new mandate as they plan to impose fines immediately after the order comes into the effect.

2. 마스크 미착용 과태료 10만원 부과

코로나19 차단을 위해
13일부터 마스크 미착용에 따른 과태료가 부과됩니다.

이에따라 제주도는
마스크 착용 의무화 업종 55개에 대해 단속에 나서고 있습니다.

단속대상 시설은
주점과 노래방, 집단운동시설, PC방, 공항만,
전통시장, 공공청사,
종교시설, 결혼식장, 장례식장,
중앙지하상가, 병의원, 목욕탕, 이.미용실 등입니다.

특히 망사형 마스크나 밸브형 마스크,
스카프 등의 옷가지로
얼굴을 가리는 것은 인정되지 않아 과태료 부과대상입니다.

제주도는
위반 횟수와 관계없이
1차 시정 명령 후
곧바로 과태료를 부과하는 만큼
도민들의 적극적인 참여를 당부하고 있습니다.
