Jeju Island budgets ₩5.8T for 2021
Social welfare programs get record amount, 22.9% of total budget
The provincial government has put together a budget of 5.8 trillion won for next year and submitted the plan to the Jeju Provincial Council.
The budget is an increase of 7 billion won compared to this year’s budget, with 352.5 billion won being issued as local bonds.
The budget for social welfare programs, which include creating jobs, youth talent training, child-raising subsidies, and allowances for the elderly, has been set at 1.3 trillion won, which is 22.9% of the total budget, the largest percentage ever for that category.
In addition, 98.1 billion won was set up for financial support of the semi-public bus system, 17.5 billion won for local currency issuance and management, 4.2 billion won for the introduction of low-floor buses, and 1 billion won for projects to create free fly zones for drones.
On the other hand, they have reduced and saved current expenses of 12.8 billion won in policy projects, 22.2 billion won in local subsidies, and 17.9 billion won in consignment projects to public institutions.
4. 제주도, 내년 예산 5조 8천 억 편성… 70억 증가
제주특별자치도가
내년 예산으로 5조 8천 299억원을 편성해 제주도의회에 제출했습니다.
이같은 예산은
올해보다 70억원 증가한 것으로
지방채로 3천 525억원을 발행하기로 했습니다.
특히 사회복지분야에
일자리창출과 청년인재육성,
육아지원금, 아동수당, 장수수당 등 1조 3천억원으로
비율로는 22.9%,
역대 최대규모로 편성했습니다.
이 밖에도
버스 준공영제에 따른 재정지원 981억원,
지역화폐 발행과 운영에 175억원,
저상버스 도입 지원 42억원,
드론 특별자유화구역 조성사업 10억원을 책정했습니다.
반면 정책사업 내 경상경비 128억원과
지방보조금 222억원, 공기관 등에 대한 위탁사업비 179억원을 절감 편성했습니다.
