Bishop Kang Woo-il retires from Jeju Diocese
Expresses sympathy over the destruction of Jeju’s nature

Bishop Kang Woo-il has retired from the Jeju Diocese as of the 17th.

During a press meeting held at the Catholic Parish of Jeju, Bishop Kang expressed his sympathies over the destruction of nature from major development projects. He said that he had tried to fulfill his duties by confronting the development and destruction that gradually destroyed the natural environment of Jeju for the past 18 years.

In particular, Bishop Kang said that in order to prevent the tragedies, such as the 4.3 Incident, from being repeated, it is important for all provincial residents to possess a sense of awareness by passing on the memories of those who experienced the 4.3 Incident.

후손에게 계승하고 가르치는 등
도민 모두의 관심이 중요하다고 당부했습니다.
