Jeju Island’s 64th, 65th COVID-19 cases confirmed
Visitor to Jeju and international school student test positive on Nov. 19

The 64th and 65th cases of COVID-19 have been confirmed in Jeju.

Patient no. 64 is a resident of another province who arrived in Jeju on the 17th. They were tested shortly after being notified as a possible contact of a patient in Seoul on the 18th.

Patient no. 64’s test results confirmed a positive diagnosis on the afternoon of the 19th. The patient was then transferred to the Jeju Medical Center's negative pressure isolation room.

The 65th patient showed symptoms of fever and chill from the 19th and was tested at the Seogwipo Seobu Health Center. They were confirmed for the coronavirus on the evening of the 19th and moved to a negative pressure room at Jeju National University Hospital.

The patient was reported to be a student of an international school in Jeju and visited Seoul from the 5th to 15th.The school has been shut down for quarantine and switched to virtual learning.

Quarantine authorities are currently conducting epidemiological investigations to track down possible contacts and confirm travel routes.

18일 서울 지역 확진자의 접촉자로
통보받은 직후 검체 검사를 받았습니다.

A씨는 19일 오후 확진 판정을 받고
제주의료원 읍압병상으로 이송되었습니다.

65번째 확진자는
어제(19일)부터 발열과 오한 등 증상을 보여
서귀포시 서부보건소에서
검사를 받았고 최종 확진 판정이 나와
제주대병원 음압병상으로 이송됐습니다.

확진자는
지난 5일부터 15일까지
서울을 다녀온 것으로 알려졌습니다.

방역당국은
확진자의 세부 동선과 접촉자 등을 파악하고 있습니다.
