Artists and cultural organizations to receive relief funds
Support amounts up to ₩500,000 per artist, ₩1M per organization
Artists and cultural organizations on the island who are struggling in the aftermath of COVID-19 will receive disaster relief funds.
Jeju Island announced their plans to offer relief funds to artists as well as specialized support plans for cultural and arts organizations. Applications can be submitted online on the provincial website until the 4th of next month.
Artists with certificates of artistic activity along with cultural organizations that carried out more than two cultural performances within the past five years will be able to apply for the support funds.
However, those who already received the government’s second emergency employment stability fund or the small business owners’ “New Hope Fund”, as well as artists who work for the public culture and arts institution are not eligible for support.
The support will amount up to 500,000 won per artist and 1 million won per organization. The funds will be released by the end of December.
