Seminar to promote Tamna Sullyeokdo held at Jeju National Museum
Illustration book depicts social conditions on Jeju in the 18th century

An academic seminar was held at the Jeju National Museum on the 20th to promote the Tamna Sullyeokdo (탐라순력도), an illustration book from the Joseon-era, as a national treasure.

The event organized by the Jeju World Natural Heritage Center and the Jeju National Museum invited experts to share up-to-date research achievements on the piece of literature as well as discuss the book’s cultural worth.

Tamna Sullyeokdo (탐라순력도), which vividly depicts the social conditions on Jeju Island in the early 18th century, has been designated as a Cultural Property Treasure and is currently waiting to be promoted as a National Treasure by the Cultural Heritage Administration.

문화재적 가치와 활용 방안에 대해 논의했습니다.

18세기 초 제주도의 사회상을 보여주는 탐라순력도는
국가지정문화재 보물로 지정돼 있으며
현재 문화재청의 국보 승격을 기다리고 있습니다.
