First snowfall of the year on Hallasan Mountain
Occurs 10 days later than last year

The year’s first snow has fallen on Hallasan Mountain.

The Jeju Regional Meteorological Administration reported the first snow happened at Hallasan Mountain’s Witseoreum at 6:30 a.m. on November 29th.

The snowfall was recorded at about one centimeter and occurred 10 days later than last year's first snow.

According to the meteorological administration, the lowest temperature recorded on the morning was -5.8 degrees celsius at Witsaeoreum of Hallasan, negative 4 degrees celsius at Samgakbong Peak and negative 2.8 degrees celsius at Yeongsil.

2. 한라산에 첫눈 관측…작년보다 10일 늦어

한라산에 첫눈이 관측됐습니다.

제주지방기상청은 29일 오전 6시 30분쯤
한라산 윗세오름에서 첫눈이 내렸다고 밝혔습니다.

적설량은 1센티미터 내외로 지난해 첫눈이 내린 것보다
열흘 늦게 관측됐습니다.

기상청에 따르면 오늘 아침 최저기온은 한라산 윗세오름은
영하 5.8도, 삼각봉 영하 4도, 영실 영하 2.8도 등을 기록했습니다.
