Hydrogen drones used for life-saving training
Training exercise for fishermen rescue held in Seogwipo

A life-saving training exercise using hydrogen drones was held near Seogwipo Port on November 30th.

During the training conducted by Jeju Island and Seogwipo Maritime Police Station, hydrogen drones were used to search the surrounding area and deliver relief tubes, assuming a scenario where a fisherman was lost in the sea near Beomsum Island.

Jeju Island explained that the hydrogen drones that were used for training are more specialized for long-distance and long-haul flights than conventional battery drones, and flew a distance of 30 kilometers for 60 minutes during the test.

제주도와 서귀포해양경찰서 등이 진행한 훈련에서는
범섬 앞 바다에 낚시객이 빠져 실종된 사고를 가정해
수소드론이 주변을 수색하고
구호 튜브를 전달하는 상황으로 진행됐습니다.

훈련에 투입된 수소드론은
30km 거리를 60분 만에 비행해
기존 배터리 드론보다
장거리, 장시간 비행에 특화된 모습을 보여줬다고
제주도는 설명했습니다.
